COMPLIMENTARY SIGNATURE GIFT WRAP
We offer complimentary signature gift wrap that includes a two piece glossy gift box tied with a tulle bow and sealed with our logo label. While The Gift District, LLC strives to provide exceptional customer service, in rare instances our "signature" gift wrap may be unavailable. If this should occur, we will do our best to use an alternate gift wrap of equal value.
Gift wrap is not available for products that are sent directly from the artisan or manufacturer, oversized items and orders that receive a "bulk" discount. There is no dollar value that can be applied to an account should gift wrap be unavailable. See specific product descriptions for information on gift wrap availability.

Because The Gift District, LLC operates in Maryland, we are required to collect 6% sales tax on orders shipped to a Maryland address. Those who live outside Maryland will not be charged sales tax unless required by state law.

SHIPPING & SHIPPING RATES
We currently ship only within the Continental United States and US territories (Hawaii, Alaska, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam). Shipments to US territories may be subject to additional fees. Unfortunately we do not offer international shipping outside these areas.
Below is an outline of our flat-fee shipping rates.

Items are typically shipped via either UPS ground or USPS Priority Mail. UPS Ground Residential usually arrives within 2-7 business days. USPS Priority Mail usually arrives within 2-5 business days. Both methods are sent with trackable ID numbers which will be forwarded to the customer when available. Oversized items and bulk orders may be subject to additional handling fees. If these fees should apply, The Gift District will contact you for approval before moving forward with the order.
Express shipping services are available at an additional charge for most items. Please call customer service at 301.983.GIFT (4438) for an estimate. Please have the item name and “ship to” zip code readily available.
Those items that qualify for free shipping will be sent via standard shipping to one address only. Please note that should an item be returned, the original shipping charge (based on our shipping rates above) will be deducted from your refund.
Should you receive a product you believe has been damaged in shipping, please contact customer service immediately with the following information: your order number, shipment tracking number (found on the packing slip) and the name of the carrier. You must save all packing and shipping materials for UPS inspection. You may be asked to provide documentation of damage such as photos or a written statement. We must receive notice of damaged or defective goods within 24 hours.
Children’s furniture demands exceptional care and consideration for transit. These items are shipped with special in-home furniture carriers who can accommodate larger sized and heavier items. Furniture that is shipped via STANDARD in-home delivery will be placed inside the main threshold of the home. Some carriers also offer “WHITE GLOVE” service, whereby they unpack the furnishings, place them in a room of your choice and discard the packing materials for you (assembly service is not provided). If you are interested in white-glove service, please call customer service at 301.983.GIFT (4438) for a price quote. Unless otherwise requested, your furniture will be shipped via standard service.
When your furniture is ready to be delivered, the carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery time. When they do, don’t forget to make note of the company’s name and phone number so that you can contact them later if necessary. If you need to reschedule a delivery, please call prior to the scheduled delivery time, or you may be subject to a “missed appointment” fee. If delivery cannot be scheduled within 10 days, applicable storage fees may be incurred.
Most carriers schedule deliveries Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please make sure someone is home to inspect and sign for your delivery. It is imperative that the furniture is examined carefully. Please note any damage directly on the delivery receipt (either to the furniture itself or the packing materials). Do not sign the shipping documents without recording details of transit damage. Any scratches, dents, cracks, torn fabric, etc. cannot be repaired or replaced without being documented at the time of delivery.
If a rare case has occurred and you find that your furniture is damaged, you may choose to refuse the delivery. Please report any damage directly to the Gift District at 301.983.GIFT (4438) immediately. The Gift District will not be able to assist you if delivery instructions are not followed.
CUSTOM, MADE-TO-ORDER & SPECIAL ORDER PURCHASES
We work with many artists who are glad to take custom orders built to your specifications. Please feel free to call our customer service team, and ask about available options.
Custom orders may require more time as they are crafted to your requests. Please allow up to 12 weeks for shipment of these items to arrive. For specific production times, please refer to an item's specific description. For shipping status on your custom order, please contact our Customer Service team at 301.983.GIFT(4438).
Custom orders, bulk orders, made-to-order items and personalized items are not returnable or exchangable. Because artisans craft these items to your specifications, they are a "final sale".
Such orders also require payment in full upon order. If you wish to cancel a custom order, you must do so within three days of your order.
If you are considering a bulk purchase for a shower or party favors, please call customer service for special pricing. Please note: Bulk discounts cannot be combined with other discounts.
We have access to thousands of products, not all of which can be displayed on this website. If you are looking for something specific, please feel free to call our customer service team and ask if we can get it.
The Gift District, LLC will gladly issue a refund if you wish to make a return. Please contact customer service to obtain a return authorization number. This must be done within 7 days of your receipt of the items and you will be responsible for return shipping charges. We will issue a credit to your charge card upon receipt of the merchandise in its original condition. However, we cannot refund your shipping charges. Any items returned after 7 days of receipt will be issued a store credit only. No returns can be accepted after 31 days of receipt. Returns for items that qualified for free shipping will get the original shipping charge of $8.95 deducted from their credit. We suggest customers send all returns via insured mail for protection in the event of loss, theft or damage as The Gift District, LLC cannot be responsible should such an event occur.
The following items are subject to a 20% restocking fee for returned items: Arte Italica, boom chairs & furniture.

When placing orders, charges reflected in your Shopping Cart, including merchandise prices, are subject to correction in the event of miscalculation or printing errors. The Gift District, LLC will contact you before proceeding with your order should such an error occur.
